Our Thoughts Become Our Realities

Have you ever heard of the law of attraction? It is simply the idea that explains how our lives are created through one thing; our thoughts.

The Power of the Mind

Many of us do not realise how powerful our minds are. We have thousands, perhaps even millions of thoughts that cross through our minds each day. Many of these are so small, we think of them as insignificant.

The truth is, everything we think about becomes our reality. We are creating our own lives through our thoughts and the way we think.

This can be an overwhelming concept to grasp, as we also have negative thoughts which create negative outcomes.

Positivity and Thoughts

A positive thought vibrates at a high energy level and is so extremely powerful. If you think about the way your mind can talk you into doing something, that is an example of this positive though process.

However, negative thoughts can easily spiral out of control. Like positive ones, we can talk ourselves out of something due to an overload of negative thoughts.

We can easily become stuck in a negative thought pattern which will become visible in our reality.

We Can Make the Change

Naturally, some days we will wake up and feel low. Understanding that we can control how long we feel this way for is a very powerful tool to grasp.

Always accept how you feel, listen to what your body is telling you and let it do what it wishes. Sometimes we require silence, stillness and rest. Other days, we will wake up feeling energised and radiant. 

We are able to shift these thought patterns whenever we feel ready. After feeling low, we can shift our mindset into a more energised one and then we will feel lifted and light. If we continue allowing our mind to feel low and perhaps negative, we will continue to feel this way in ourselves.

Once we grasp the concept that we can actively make that shift, we understand that we are able to live our lives to their full potential and listen to the paths that have been set out for us!

Having a Sense of Gratitude

From a very young age we are taught to say our please and thank you’s. Be grateful. Find gratitude in your everything. However, don’t take offence when someone else doesn’t show you the gratefulness you think you should receive.

What I Mean By “Finding Gratitude in Your Everything”

In my opinion, everything we have in our lives is a blessing. Even those things which may seem “bad”. Life is full of lessons, so every situation is what you make of it. Therefore, when things happen which you don’t expect, or, particularly want to happen, there is likely to be a teaching behind them. The best thing we can do is try to recognise this. Be grateful for what you have learnt.

Of course, if we are given something or someone does an act of kindness for us, most of us naturally say “thank you”. I want to ask yourself this – do you really mean it? Are you really feeling your thanks? If you give your thanks without any real meaning behind the words, then you are not actually grateful. In order to feel more at ease, it is crucial to speak truth and believe your own words.

How Can We Benefit From Being Grateful?

Having a sense of gratitude is not just about saying thank you when someone does something which pleases us. It is genuinely feeling blessed for who you are. Your body is an amazing place and goes through so much each day, physically, mentally and emotionally. So by showing this thanks to your body, it is a kind of self rewarding technique.

Everyone will have their own way of doing this. It may be as simple as treating yourself to something after some hard work. Or it may be finding time to connect with your soul through meditation or yoga. If you are a believer in the law of attraction, you will be aware that gratitude affects what we have in our lives. Being consciously grateful will help more good things come your way.

Whichever method works best for you to feel thankfulness, do it. Gratitude actually does increase how much happiness the body can feel, will positively impact our mood, lift our spirits (quite literally) and increase our confidence. If we know we are living whilst being grateful for everything we can do and everything we have, we are more likely to give more. An open heart is a great way of sharing love.

A Happy Thought

Happiness is such a widely discussed topic, especially on social media such as Instagram. In my opinion, it is great that we are becoming more aware of why we should feel happiness. There has also been a lot of information revealing the benefits in which being content has on your body.

However, I think a lot of these articles and posts are missing something really important. And I believe this is the reason why so many of us are not understanding why we do not feel happy.

We can’t seek happiness. Happiness is not something you just find. It is an emotion, a mood. We hear and a read a lot of “find your happiness now” and so forth. Whereas, in reality you won’t.

What is Happiness?

Happiness is an intense and wonderful feeling of sheer joy and bliss. It is an energy which we ourselves create. Of course, we will not feel happy one hundred percent of the time. That does not mean that we are not happy. Personally, I believe happiness is about the way we look at life, the way we handle difficult situations and the way we approach every day. Yes, there will be things in life which appear to make you more happy than others. But the real state of happiness comes from within. Happiness is felt. Happiness just is.

A quote which I have seen shared quite often really does portray the message well. If you take a moment to really think about the meaning behind the words, my message may become more clear.

“Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.”

“Happiness is a journey, not a destination.”

These are two variations of words with the same underlying meaning. Life is a journey and being happy is something we chose to feel along the way.

The Present is What Matters

Therefore, be happy now! So many of us have the mind set of only being content with things which are due to happen. For instance “I will be happy when.. I am on holiday.” Or, “I will be happy when.. I have lost weight.” No! Be happy with who you are right now! That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t improve yourself, of course you can. It just means that while you are working out more and getting a more toned physique, you continue to love yourself the you you are. It is all connected, if we feel happiness and love, we really will feel more positive about whatever life throws at us. Life is the most wonderful blessing, it just takes some of us a little more time to realise it.

Love to you all. I want to talk about the power of the mind and the ways in which your imagination is capable of magical things. This theme is one which really resonates with me, I try and teach this to those around me, to allow them to understand the true beauty of the physical mind.

How Can My Imagination Help Me?

Just ask yourself what your imagination does. The things that go on inside your head are completely different to every soul you know. Your imagination is completely unique and special, it is so very valuable. If you allow yourself to picture things, imagine yourself in certain situations and really, truly believe them, you are then putting your mind to great use. Your imagination creates your future. Everything you think about is like a magnet of everything that happens in your life. This is called the law of attraction.

Live Knowing Your Life is the Best You Could Make it

If you put this into practice, you will begin to see results. When I first learnt about the law of attraction, I started off with little things and I really noticed a difference. I think patience is key, as it is with everything in life. Once you know what your capabilities are, let your imagination run wild.

Narrow down your wishes, focus on one main thing which you really want and picture what your life would be like if you have it, imagine yourself there. I also believe this is a great way to connect with yourself, as it allows you to focus your mind on really staying present.
