Hello, I hope you are having a great week. We need to all refocus a little and ensure we are spending as much time with positive people as possible. Negativity spreads like wild fire, so it needs to be watered down as soon as it starts.
Start Spending Time with the Good People
I am sure we all have a select few who leave us feel drained after spending time with them. This is because they literally suck your energy. Sadly, negativity can be catching, so unless it is in your consciousness, you may start adopting it into your speech and the way you think.
A great way of turning this around is by surrounding yourself with people who bring out the best with you. I have mentioned before the importance of friends who encourage us, but spending time with these people is even more important. I love that feeling after being around happy people, it leaves me lighter, as I spend most of the time laughing.
Negativity is Bad News
Of course, it is unrealistic for me to say cut every negative soul out of your circle. They may be work colleagues or school friends and you have no choice to whether or not you sit next to them.
The good news is you can control what affects you. The power of your mindset comes into play here. If you keep a positive outlook and recognise the negativity, you are more likely to be able to overcome it. Recognition is the first step. Outside of work, go out with your true friends. Or give them a call, and you will probably find yourself feeling uplifted again.
Like attracts like, so the more happiness you spread, the more happy people will gravitate towards you. Years ago when I first heard this, I was quite unsure. However, the people who have come into my life have proven this to be true. Your thoughts are so much more powerful than you may ever realise, use this to it’s full potential.
Refresh and Rewire
Over time, if you wish to make a change to lead a positive life, you will be able to rewire your brain. Unfortunately, happy thoughts are not as common as negative ones, meaning to begin with it requires some attention. However, your mind will adjust to this new way of thinking and your positive mindset will begin to empower the negative thoughts.
Be patient and stick to it, I promise good things will come.
