Spreading Love, Love & Nothing Except Love

Spreading Love.
Spreading Love.

Hello all, happy Monday. To start off the week on a bright and positive note I am going to help you spread love. Love is something we can always share more of in our lives, so let’s see how we can up the amount of love surrounding us.

Count Your Blessings

To truly feel like love is upon you, you have to realise how bloody lucky you are. Each one of us is living a beautiful life, we are surrounded by greatness. This may sound a bit cringe, but it is so true. To really feel that great energy, be thankful for all you have. This will ignite that passionate spark within, which will encourage you to spread more of that happy feeling.

Happiness is Greatness & Love Surrounds Us

Those happy feelings you experience on a really good day are your highest vibrations. You feel good, you feel alive. Being kind to yourself and loving yourself will then allow you to glow from the inside. There is a balance between loving who you are and being over-confident and egotistical. Leave your ego out of this. Your ego is your self-esteem and if you view it in that light, you are separating it from yourself. Instead, be true.

Love is all around. Learn to feel it.

Giving a Compliment

It probably goes without saying that people enjoy receiving a compliment. However, some find them hard to give. People can stop themselves spreading positives, even if they think of something kind. Instead, if you feel like one of your friends looks lovely, tell them. This will make both of you feel good. These are the types of feelings we should be sharing, this is spreading the loving vibes.

A great partner to giving is: listening. A lot of people nowadays are bad listeners. This is mainly due to the amount of distractions we face: phones, social media. An excuse, I know. Bring it back to basics and start listening to people. We are all guilty of zoning out from time to time, I still do it. So, try and bring yourself back to the present and listen to what people have to say. They might be reaching out to you. If we stop listening, people will stop talking. Giving compliments should rekindle the spark within us all.

I hope you enjoyed the read. Have a great week. As always, thank you for your continued support.

Positive Self-Talk & the Power of Believing in Yourself

Hello all. A year ago today my first inspirational post was shared with the world. Thank you so much for your constant love and support. Keeping up with my theme, I am going to discuss what positive self-talk is and how a little self belief can go a long way.

What is Positive Self-Talk?

Pretty much what it says on the tin. It doesn’t mean talking aloud to yourself, although, if that’s your thing, do it! What I mean by positive self-talk is really just being aware about how you feel about yourself. The way you describe or talk about yourself to others is also a crucial part of this.

An example of negative self-talk would be, if say, you go to a meeting and forget a pen and say “Oh I’m such an idiot”. Immediately, negative emotions are sent through your body. Therefore, the same logic could be applied to what you think when you look in the mirror. How good you look is really about how good you feel.

“If you feel good, you look good and if you look good, you do good.” – Unknown

Let’s Make a Change

Filling your day with positive little reminders to yourself will soon alter the way you think. As you will be aware if you are a regular reader, I am such a preacher for believing in yourself. This is all connected. And more importantly, we are all connected.

It may sound a little cheesy, but I do love cheese (literally). Start by saying things to yourself which will boost your mood. That’s what self-talk is. Here are some ideas:

  • I am present
  • I am the best version of me
  • Gratitude is what I am feeling for myself, and all that surrounds me
  • Confidence fills me
  • I believe in myself, I can do everything I focus on

You get the idea. Adapt these to suit you, or create some of your own. Next time, before you fill yourself with doubts and worries, try choosing the positive outlook. I promise you, if you believe in it, it will work.

So positive self-talk if not only the way you think about yourself, but also the things you say about yourself to other people. Once you get to grips with this, you will be on the right track to living your best, happiest life.

Stop Comparing & Start Loving Yourself

Stop Comparing, Start Thanking

Hello all. Today I am going to talk about why we need to stop comparing ourselves to others and start loving who we are. This is one of the best ways to boost your self esteem and most importantly, feel content in your own skin.

Comparing Will Make You Feel Deflated

It is an absolute that if you compare yourself to somebody, whether it be a friend or a celeb, you will gain nothing, except feeling shit. As I say quite often, we are all unique and we all have these wonderful qualities about ourselves which we need to learn to love and embrace.

We also know that we waste a lot of time scrolling, especially looking at celebrity’s holiday snaps. I’m guilty, I love Instagram! However, I know so many people who look at others and say “I wish I had her stomach” or “I just want to be her”. Whilst I am not saying I have never done this in the past, which, okay, yes, may be your motivating way to get to the gym, I don’t hate anything about myself. There may be areas which I can improve, but I love food and I eat fairly healthy most of the time. I am happy with who I am.

My point is, instead of comparing the parts of your own body you don’t like, start to realise that you’re great. The more time you spend thinking negatively, the worse you will feel. If you start loving every piece of who you are, you are going to feel comfortable in your own skin, and will actually begin to look better. The power of the mind is incredible!

Gratitude, Gratitude, Gratitude!

A famous quote which may inspire you further is:

“Comparison is the thief of joy.” – Theodore Roosevelt

Of course, love your friends and appreciate them for who they are, but don’t forget about yourself! By comparing yourself to someone else, you will only create negative energy which can also lead to jealousy.

Being grateful for the beautiful mind and body you have is the best place to start. Gratitude is a word which we see a lot of on social media, so make sure when you say you are grateful, you really mean it. Having a thankful attitude to life will allow you to appreciate even the small things.

Let’s make 2018 our best one yet and keep on spreading the gratitude and love.

Making 2018 Your Best One Yet

Hello all! Happy New Year. Thank you for a whole year of love and support, I appreciate every single one of you. Today I am going to discuss what we can do in this fresh new year to really make it the best. We are going to fully understand how to live in the moment this year, and let the little things pass us by.

Be the Best You
Be the Best You

New Year, New Me?

Personally, this is not a phrase which I believe in. However, we can learn to enhance and better ourselves. Be the best version of you! Understand every part of yourself, the best way I have found to do this is through meditation. It is so powerful and it allows us to fully connect and be present. Being in the now is the life’s greatest gift. Other than life itself, that is a pretty spectacular gift.

I once read a book which I would recommend, Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff by Richard Carlson. This explores the importance of learning to let go. Don’t overthink things, and if something doesn’t go according to plan, accept and learn from it, never dwell or worry about the past.

Continue Being the Best Version of You

You may not always think it, but you are the most important person in your life. If you are into creating new years resolutions, why not make one of them be to focus and spend more time on yourself. This will enable you to understand your capabilities.

It is appealing to think of a new year as a new start. Use the knowledge you have learnt over the past years of your life to live presently and happily. I like the idea of not setting resolutions, but to set myself some goals for the year. Then I can channel my energy into achieving these.

Just remember to appreciate all you have, the wonderful friends and family around you. Invest in your health and wellbeing, maybe just for a few weeks and see what difference it has on your life. Try your best. Be your best. Learn to love, learn to forgive. Most importantly, stay true to yourself and rise above challenging situations, if you believe in yourself, anything is possible…

Thank YOU!

If you have been following me for the past year, thank you for your comments and encouragement. If you have just joined me, welcome. I have loved every minute of creating content for you since January 2017, and shall continue to do so. Please keep spreading the love and sharing your opinions. I wish you all the best health and happiness for the year to come.
