Looking For the Beauty in Everything

A happy Saturday to you all. As February is nearly over I would like to reflect on how wonderful and supportive you have all been so far. Thank you all for reading, listening and sharing my website. Beauty is all around us, and I am going to explain why I feel focusing on the beautiful side of life will increase the happiness you feel within.

A Source of Inspiration

I have chosen this topic because I was recently given a selection of poetry books. One really stood out to me and I felt inspired by a William Blake poem (one of his most famous ones), Auguries of Innocence.

To see a World in a Grain of Sand

And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,

Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand

And eternity in an hour.

If we approach each day exploring the beautifulness around us, our minds will be filled with images of beauty. This quote above has a powerful message, each thing around us is energy and this gives off vibrations – including objects, nature, people and animals. We are surrounding ourselves with these vibrations so if you focus of the positives, you will naturally feel more uplifted.

Where is the Beauty?

Beauty is all around us. It is up to you how you see things. The mind is an extremely powerful tool and it is capable of creating anything. I really believe that our life is what we make of it. Therefore, if you live each day noting the beauty in the things you see and you feel the love that surrounds you, you will have no reason not to feel pure happiness.

We have to make the most of what we have. The time to do something is now. You are beautiful. Your life is filled with beauty. All of your friends and family are beautiful. The rain falling from the sky is beautiful. Beauty is. Love is. Feel the connection to your mind and think beautiful thoughts.

Beauty comes from within.
Beauty comes from within.

Thank you once again for reading. I hope the rest of your day is full of happiness.

Finding Your Place of Serenity

Hello all, happy weekend. Today I am going to share with you how important I feel it is to have a happy place. This is a place of serenity and calmness, where you can go to be alone with your thoughts.

Why Do I Need a Place of Serenity?

As we are continually busy in our everyday lives, I think that taking some time out of each day to be at one with your thoughts can really help how we feel within. If you have a place that you are able to associate with happy thoughts, gratitude and silence then each time you return to this place, you will be filled with positive energy. It is a great way of refreshing yourself.

Where is a Suitable Spot For My Own Quiet Place?

Of course, everyone will have a different opinion on where they “like to go to think”, this will be your place of serenity. Talking from my own experience, there are a few places I like to go, depending on whereabouts I am. For you, it may be when you lay in bed at night, you might take a moment to think about what is rushing through your mind and then quieten down your thoughts. Maybe, if you take yourself for a walk you like to be alone to have some thinking space. Or, perhaps you just have a favourite park bench which you enjoy sitting on and taking in the world around you.

Whatever it is that suits you, try to do this at least once a week. Our minds are constantly buzzing with thoughts. Start practising deep breathing and teach yourself how to meditate, if that suits you. I believe that real serenity comes from within, so listening to your body is a great place to start. You will know when you have found the right place for you, you will feel serenity and peace.

I hope you are able to take some inspiration from this. Thank you for reading.

Keeping The Spark Alight

I hope you all enjoyed Valentine’s Day – a lot of love was spread yesterday, keep on spreading it each day. Today I want to write about the importance of keeping the spark alight, meaning how to keep living spontaneously to stay in love with every moment of your life.

What Is The Spark?

So, by spark, what I really mean is: the fire in your belly. Usually, this fire is felt when you are doing something you are passionate about. In a way, this could be described as fear, the spark that motivates us to push ourselves out of our comfort zone, which then feels amazing afterwards.

How Do I Find My Spark?

If you are unable to relate to the feeling I am describing, maybe you just haven’t found your true passion just yet. When I perform on stage I never remember feeling nervous. The feeling I remember is having butterflies in my stomach, ones of excitement. Then, I know as soon as I walk on the stage, the butterflies turn into a fire, it feels like a fizzing fireball inside my body. If you have ever been on stage, you might be aware of this feeling.

Of course, different things will trigger this kind of passion for us all. If you have not found something which really motivates you, then try pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. Say yes more often. Obviously, do not ever be pressured into something you don’t want to do, but say yes and try new things. By doing so, you are helping yourself grow, conquering your fears and inspiring yourself.

Set Yourself Goals

Aim to do one thing a day which you wouldn’t normally do. This relates to my advice of being spontaneous more often. These can just be the small things like smiling at a stranger or trying a new exercise class. Whatever it is you chose to do, it is probably something you have been putting off.

Therefore, go and ignite your spark. Find that passionate drive of motivation. Be the best version of you. Never stop loving yourself.

I am going to end by sharing a quote from the song Last Hope:

“It’s just a spark but it’s enough to keep me going.” – Paramore

Thank you so much for reading. I wish you all a bright and happy day.

Aspire To Be the Best Version of YOU

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. In today’s post I want to discuss why being yourself is so important. Throughout our lives, we will all learn about this in different ways, some realise sooner than others, depending on our experiences.

It is Okay to be Different, Be Yourself

I believe that if you are spending time with the right people you will be aware that you are. In life, your path will cross with people who you vibe with, you will get on really well. Contrastingly, there will be a few people who you simply do not get along with. Do not force yourself to spend time with them. Send them love and step away. Spend your life with those who you want to spend it with, and those who want to spend it with you, too.

Be the Best Version of Yourself
Oscar Wilde

Follow Your Heart

You have probably heard of the phrase “follow your gut”. I believe in this, your gut is your intuition and it has been proven that the gut-feeling you feel is highly likely to be the right one, the right decision for you at that moment in time. That is why living with regrets is not worth your time. In the moment that you made a certain choice, that was what you wanted.

Therefore, when it comes to people, you often know whether or not you will get along with them. By all means, do not judge a book by it’s cover, give everyone your love and time. However, your heart will know whether or not something is right.

Be Who You Truly Are

Something important to remind yourself is – you are you. Nobody around you should alter that. Over time, we learn and we grow as people, you become a better you. When you spend time with people, they will influence you. But, at the end of the day you know deep down who you really are. Do not let people change you. If you are aware of who you are and are connected with yourself, you won’t be affected by this.

I want to advise you on a few things to help you become the best version of yourself:

  • Keep on spreading love, you have a heart full of love to give.
  • Be honest with yourself, let yourself be.
  • It is okay to be different, just embrace all of your weird and wonderful ways, they are what makes Also, weird is unique and that is great!

Today I am going to leave you with a song which I feel is relevant to my words:

Wrong Crowd by Tom Odell. Enjoy.

Thank you so much for reading and for all of the love and support you continue to send me.
